I am a UX/UI designer with excellent skills in the most popular design and prototyping softwares, specifically Figma, Sketch and the Adobe Suite tools. I also have technical abilities in front-end development with JavaScript and its frameworks: I have built hybrid mobile apps with jQuery and Angular, and have developed the front-end for The Irish Times with React. Most of my work has been produced with these tools, which you can view in my portfolio section.

PORTFOLIO

Below are showcases of some of the projects I have worked on during the years. I have designed and iterated core features and interfaces for a number of products, ranging from hybrid mobile applications such as MEG's Audit Tool, to native Android and iOS applications such as patientMpower and its other flavours, and MEG's E-Guides app.

My work with The Irish Times involved a complex news website with extremely varied types of data and interfaces.

I have also developed apps in full stack as part of my M.Sc degree.

The Irish Times

The Irish Times was the first Irish newspaper, and one of the first in the world, to "go digital". It is a long-standing news agency that has evolved much in over 100 years of existence, and today focuses on delivering real, reliable information in an era dominated by conspiracy theories and "fake news". Working on such a well respected and renowned news source is challenging, and has tought me a lot.

INTERACTIONS

Here you can view and engage with interactions I created for hybrid mobile applications.

While researching usability in digital products for my M.Sc thesis, I was struck at how videogames, particularly fast-paced action games, use radial menus for quick selection of items. It was clear that this type of menu allowed for intuitive selection of its items, and I decided to design some radial menu interactions for hybrid mobile applications.

Interact with the buttons below to experience my radial menu designs!

BIOGRAPHY

my face

I am a UX/UI designer and Front end developer currently working with a strong and motivated team at Shiroi Studio.

I work with a number of tools, most prominently Figma, Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator, but I learn new software quickly. Due to my past career in audio production, I also have a lot of experience with audio and video editing software.

When I am not working I enjoy practicing Muay Thai, playing video games, reading, and hiking. I also have a passion for style and sartorialism.

I built this website without using any UI or animations libraries such as Bootstrap, jQuery UI or ScrollMagic. All the animations, interactions and styling were designed and created by me using CSS3 and some jQuery to trigger the animations.

Cool. What have you actually done though?
